Taiwan 2019 Day 8: Kaoshiung 高雄 // 25 Oct 2019 (FINAL DAY)

And so it has come to the final day of our trip - super mixed feelings. On one hand, I think I have fell in love with this city, so used to the friendly culture, the pace of life and great food and all, yet on the other hand, I'm excited to head home to start my new journey (will be starting a new job right after this).

First stop: breakfast.

Then we headed back to the train station to take the train to 西子湾。













And then it was time to get our souvenirs! We headed back to 巨蛋 Kaoshiung Arena. 






And went to Basement 1, to my favourite bakery in 高雄 to get our souvenirs.

Then it was time for lunch! After walking around Hanshin, we settled on having Tim Ho Wan.




Besides the 肠粉 (rice flour roll), the rest were nice! And one of the other reasons we wanted to come to 巨蛋, was so we could have the Red Bean Shaved Ice again. 




Carrying our happy buys, with our happy tummy, we went back to the hotel. We extended our hotel room by half a day (check out time 5pm) so we can head back to rest since we will be catching a late night flight. 

We packed our luggage, we napped, we freshened up and we were ready to check-out. 

First things first, we headed to Shinkuchan again (for grandaunt and grand uncle-in-law it would be their first time) for a quick last min shopping. 



And so thankful that we made this trip because we finally got to try 天使鸡排 and the best part, we didn't have to queue when we went around 5.30pm on a Friday evening. So favoured!!!

And it was time to have dinner! And we went back to the dinner place we first had dinner when we arrived on Day 1. Felt like a nice closure to this trip.



Satisfied our cravings, we cabbed back to the hotel, picked up our luggage and headed to the airport.

And our Scoot flight was delayed by half-an-hour, and we had to take a bus from the flight to the terminal and by the time we got to the terminal it was 2.45am!!! (Instead of the landing time of 1.30am).

Glad to be home!

That's all for this fruitful trip, a good time of exploring a part of Taiwan that I have never seen, quality time spent with loved ones, and revival of my soul to prepare my heart for the new season ahead.

And we're at Day 4 of our trip. And finally we're travelling out of HK!!!  If you were to ask if for my favourite highlight for the trip, it would have to be Shunde 顺德. We didn't get much done in a day but the whole feel of the city is one that I like. Their pace is not as rushed as Hong Kong and it seems that the people appreciate life better. How to get tickets to Shunde 顺德?  We bought our tickets from China Travel Services, but I believe you may be able to get the tickets online too. We had to pay an admin fee of 12 HKD when we purchase our tickets through China Travel Services. One way ticket to Shunde will cost HKD 240 each (~SGD41). The ferry timings are 8.30am , 9.30am , 11.00am , 3.00pm and 6.00pm . We departed our hotel at about 7.15am, took the cab to China HK City, which took us just 15 mins ride from our hotel. Dream Come True 2013 - Day 1 (of 7) in Korea - Jeju-do (10 Dec 2013, Tuesday)

After procrastinating for a good one month after returning from this all-time favourite trip of my life (well at least up until 2013), I have FINALLY settled down to blog about it... When I was researching for my trip, I was very thankful for the travel bloggers who blog about their trips so we can have handy tips and advise for people planning their trips abroad, especially to places they would be visiting for the first time. Winter in Korea 2019: Day 7: Seoul (Last Day of 2019)

We were thankful that we could get an extension to check out at 3pm so we headed out to a few spots before we leave Seoul today. Since Sinseol-dong is part of the Line 2, we were aiming to take direct line to Samseong. The line stopped at Seongsu and we didn't know we were supposed to transfer to another platform to be on the same line. We ended up on the line towards City Hall, and we alighted at Wangsimni station. When we were transiting, we noticed this bakery (and considering that we were hungry), we bought this yummy garlic bread! Such a good Garlic Bread (with cheese and egg) - at 3900 won Then we went on our way to Seolleung station to change to Samseong station.
