We have scheduled to have the driver pick us up at 9am so since we were up and ready by 8am, we headed to the nearby fresh food market for a walk (it was about a 10 min walk from the hotel).
And then we headed off to Tainan 台南!!! The journey took us about an hour. Anping was near to the port where trade exchanges was happening back in the days, so they have a lot of historical places 古迹 displaying that.
Our first stop was Anping Old Fort 安平古堡.

Then we walked over to Anping Tree House 安平树屋 across the street from Anping Old Fort.

We were getting thirsty (probably due to the heat) and so we asked for a dessert stop. Did I mention that it felt warmer in Tainan?

Off we went to our 3rd site thereafter. 1661 Taiwan Warship Museum (1661臺灣船園區).

This was also the place where my phone screen smashed because the wind was too strong and blew the tripod that was holding the phone off.

And off we went to our last of the 4 sites - Eternal Golden Castle (亿载金城). The name may be misleading to think that there is gold to be seen but there was nothing golden about it. It was a Fort where the weapons were hosted.

After covering all the spots we wanted to visit in Anping 安平, we headed for lunch. We choose 阿憨咸粥 because we wanted to try what 虱目鱼 (Milkfish) was.

Overall it was okay, there was nothing much fascinating about this meal, the rice was still nice as ever that I finished all my rice (for someone who doesn't usually eat carbohydrates).

And that was all for us for Tainan and we headed back to Kaoshiung since my mum had to catch a flight back to Singapore earlier than us. That said, I would really love to come back to Tainan 台南 again!!!
The journey back to Kaoshiung took us about 45 mins. The driver dropped us back at our hotel in Kaoshiung - Urban Hotel 33.

Then we headed to the MTR and took a train to Kaisyuan Station.

We walked around and shopped for a bit before we had hotpot. This was a hotpot restaurant recommended my a girlfriend of mine.

And we went to get some bread from Master Fang! We super love the breads (and cookies) at Master Fang. This was found at the Basement of Dream Mall.
And that was about it for our long day travel from Chiayi 嘉义 to Tainan 台南 and to Kaoshiung 高雄.
