First HOLIDAY of 2018 ~ HONG KONG DAY 2

Good morning! Knowing that they broadcast Pastor Prince sermons in Hong Kong on TVB Pearl Channel at 7am, I set my alarm for 7am to hear 30 mins of spiritual feed.

View from my bed

And after which, I headed off to the gym! Which was the other reason I choose Dorsett!

After a good hour of workout at the gym, headed up to the room to freshen up and off we went for the day. But first, we needed FOOD!

We caught the 10am shuttle to Mongkok MTR and headed for Prince Edward station.

Kam Wah Cafe

Takeaway

Bo Luo Bun 菠萝包 / Pineapple Buns
While I didn't quite fancy the food at Kam Wah cafe, I didn't want HY to miss out on trying their Pineapple Buns so we went there to get a bun first. And just as expected, it didn't tasted as heavenly as the first time I had this!

My favourite Dim Sum place in HK - One Dim Sum 一点心

What we ordered
And once our tummy was filled, we decided to go... SHOPPING first! And one of my favourite shopping place has to be Kwai Chung Plaza! So we trained to Kwai Fong station, take Exit E and headed straight for shopping!

The shop I bought 3 dresses and 1 necklace at!

There are lots of cosmetics at basement
They also have many small eateries in this place, so feel free to come here hungry, and wallets filled, to fill both your tummy and your shopping pleasure!

And just right next door to Kwai Chung Plaza is the slightly more "advanced" mall called Metroplaza - which is cleaner, bigger and brighter. And of course the stores which you will find at Metroplaza are the more well known brands.

They were having Metro Moment at the Metroplaza
We found ourselves at the Metro Moment displays at the "rooftop" which was quite nice. Photo spots everywhere!

HUGE corn!

Tomatoes!

Strawberries!

And after spending an extended time at Kwai Fong (which we didn't intent to because we simply wanted to walk away the fullness in our tummy before heading for Disneyland).

Then we headed for Disneyland, because it was HY's first time!!!

The "Disney" train!!!

Entrance!!!

The first thing we did was queue to take photo with Mickey and Minnie.
The queuing time was about 45 mins!

Ice cream time!

Now that they no longer have the fireworks but sometime, I think they replaced it with the Mickey night show!!!

That concluded our day at Disneyland!
And of course we were hungry and it was time for.... FOOD... again!!!

But this time round it was trickier because HY's phone ran out of data (we neglected to dial the codes they gave us to activate the plan) and my phone ran out of battery. So we headed over to Jordan, plainly by faith. I only remember that my favourite dessert place is on Ning Po street. So we found our way there and to our surprise, the congee place 新興棧食家 Sun Hing Chang Restaurant we wanted to try was actually on the same street! God led indeed!

Dinner place! And this wasn't our last time here for this trip!

皮蛋瘦肉粥 Century Egg Lean Meat Porridge

This is the best 皮蛋瘦肉粥 Century Egg Lean Meat Porridge I have ever eaten! Love how they are so generous with their portion of Century Egg and best of all, there was no weird taste of the century egg! And the congee is so smooth and soft! Melts in your mouth immediately!

After dinner, we headed over for my favourite dessert 佳佳甜品 Jia Jia Dessert sure (on the same street)! Nearest exit is Exit A of Jordan station.

Jia Jia Dessert

Our dessert
HY ordered the 芝麻糊 (sesame paste) while I ordered the 白果薏米腐竹 (Gingko Barley Dessert). But what was interesting about this place wasn't just the place alone. It really felt like the Lord led us here for a reason. After we were seated, on the same table, set 3 other ladies (about our age). They asked us if we have change for HKD. They have Chinese Yuan. We informed them that we are from Singapore and so they know we may not have the need for Chinese Yuan. We asked them how much they needed, and they said 10 HKD (~SGD$1.74) and without much consideration, we decided to just bless them with it. They ended up only needing 1 HKD (~$0.17). With that, we conversed with them and ask where they were from and we were utterly surprised to find out that they are from 顺德 Shunde, the place we wanted to go initially but decided to take it out of our plan because we have too little research on it. And one of the other reasons was also because the weather forecast shows that it would be thunderstorm but they told us that it is hot and sunny in 顺德 Shunde.

HY and I felt that it wasn't a coincidence that we ended up at Jordan, neither was it a coincidence that these ladies were seated on the same table as us, so we both agreed that 顺德 Shunde will have to fit into our itinerary somehow.

With that thought in mind, we headed back to the hotel!!!

My loots for the day!

That concludes the fruitful Day 2 of our trip!!!~
