Winter in Korea 2019: Day 5: Seoul (Last Sunday of 2019)

So we have come to the last Sunday of 2019 and of course we weren't going to miss church!!!

We met with Ms J at Hongik University (Exit 1) at 10am (but we miscalculated the time so Ms P and I arrived late πŸ˜•. We wanted to check out Fifty-Fifty cafe at first but it's close so we had a quick breakfast at Holly's Coffee.

Then we walked to L7 Hongdae and took the lift up to level 21 to get to where the church is.
We visited Lifehouse Seoul. Service starts at 11am on Sundays.

View from the church

Then we walked to Sinchon (a pretty long walk) to get lunch and dessert.

Sinchon

So glad we walked into this restaurant (unplanned) and had a really good meal of pork rib soup (κ°μžνƒ•). Usually I'm not a big fan of pork rib but this tasted so good!

★★★★★
Chamimat (Sinchon) - turn right at Exit 3 and walk for about 7 mins, you should see it on your left hand side.

And it definitely brings warm to this cold weather. Then we went opposite to Olive Young to shop a bit before we headed for dessert.

We dropped by Olive Young and Ms J introduced this toothpaste to us and say this was good so we both bought one to try.

And the highlight of bring them to this area is to bring them to my favourite BingSu place that I've been to 6 years ago and I was so happy that it is still here! And the quality has not dropped any bit!

Homilbat (Exit 3 walk about 8 mins, on your right)
43 Sinchonyeok-ro

And we shopped around a bit more in the cosmetics shops before we headed to the train station.

Exit 3 (Sinchon)

Follow this street if you want to find places mentioned above

We took the train to Euljiro-3-ga exit 8. Once you come out of the exit, you should see the Myeongbo Art Hall.

We went up to Level 3 with the intention to watch JUMP (6pm, Sunday) show at first. But we were 1.5 hours early to get tickets.

So we went down to B3 instead to check out FIREMAN to see if they have last minute available tickets and they did!

Entrance

VIP tickets at 30% discount!!!

So near to the stage

They were all so good!!!

Super recommend if you need a good laugh on your trip! The last time I watched Nanta, and I feel this is so much more engaging than Nanta (not sure if it is because the theatre is smaller and we were much nearer to the stage) but I like how there were a lot more surprise element than expected!

Then Ms J headed home to rest and Ms P and I went to Ewha University for more shopping!!!

Chanced upon KOS MARKET

wow the toothpaste Ms J was telling us about on sale

We also went into BAVIPHAT which sells a lot of snacks and cosmetics at discounted price.

Somehow shopping along Ewha University reminds me a lot of Shi-Da Night Market (εΈ«ε€§ε€œεΈ‚) in Taipei. Is it because they are lined up for University students?

And finally we headed back home and we grabbed a quick "dinner" next to the BBQ place we went yesterday.

Did I mention I really like this drink?

Watching Korean TV without subtitles while waiting for our food

While we waited for our food, we were "watching" the Korean reality TV show 썸바디2 (SOMEBODY S2). Looks not bad! Maybe I should check it out when I'm free.

Ms P seafood beef noodles - so tasty the soup!!!

I had the KOREAN BLACK BEAN SAUCE NOODLES (JAJANGMYEON) but it was a little too sweet for the liking

And we headed home to rest up for the night.
