Winter in Korea 2019: Day 3: Busan (Last Friday of 2019)

Because we had to check out by 11am, so we got our things ready and headed to Busan station to drop off our luggage at the station for storage first before exploring the rest of places we wanted to go to in Busan.

After we dropped off our luggage, we grabbed a warm bowl of noodles soup at the station. The kimchi was one of the nicest we had this trip! This is next to Lotteria at the station (201 Jungang-daero, Choryang 2(i)-dong, Dong-gu, Busan, South Korea).


Then we headed to the bus stop (need to cross opposite the road) - or you can come out of Exit 10 - to catch bus 87. The ride will take around half-an-hour.

Then we saw a bus stop that has Seogu 2-2 to take us up the hill (alternatively you can walk up too) so we went for that instead of hiking uphill due to the amount of walking we have done the day before. 

We alighted at the entrance and walked in.

We walked around for around 2 hours and we started heading back to Busan station. 

Once we were back at Busan station, we crossed the road and went to Brown Hands Baekje Cafe. The building is in fact an old hospital called Baekje Hospital built in 1922 (the first private general hospital in Busan).




They have one of the best Tiramisu I've tasted (and for someone who doesn't drink coffee much it's something) and we both agree they have great coffee here!

And then we went back to Busan station to grab dinner before taking the 7pm train back to Seoul.

We booked YunSeong's place for the rest of our stay in Seoul. It took us quite a while to find the place as they did not provide picture descriptions on how to get to their place but thank God we got to accommodation safe and sound.

And we're at Day 4 of our trip. And finally we're travelling out of HK!!!  If you were to ask if for my favourite highlight for the trip, it would have to be Shunde 顺德. We didn't get much done in a day but the whole feel of the city is one that I like. Their pace is not as rushed as Hong Kong and it seems that the people appreciate life better. How to get tickets to Shunde 顺德?  We bought our tickets from China Travel Services, but I believe you may be able to get the tickets online too. We had to pay an admin fee of 12 HKD when we purchase our tickets through China Travel Services. One way ticket to Shunde will cost HKD 240 each (~SGD41). The ferry timings are 8.30am , 9.30am , 11.00am , 3.00pm and 6.00pm . We departed our hotel at about 7.15am, took the cab to China HK City, which took us just 15 mins ride from our hotel. Dream Come True 2013 - Day 1 (of 7) in Korea - Jeju-do (10 Dec 2013, Tuesday)

After procrastinating for a good one month after returning from this all-time favourite trip of my life (well at least up until 2013), I have FINALLY settled down to blog about it... Winter in Korea 2019: Day 7: Seoul (Last Day of 2019)

We were thankful that we could get an extension to check out at 3pm so we headed out to a few spots before we leave Seoul today. Since Sinseol-dong is part of the Line 2, we were aiming to take direct line to Samseong. The line stopped at Seongsu and we didn't know we were supposed to transfer to another platform to be on the same line. We ended up on the line towards City Hall, and we alighted at Wangsimni station. When we were transiting, we noticed this bakery (and considering that we were hungry), we bought this yummy garlic bread! Such a good Garlic Bread (with cheese and egg) - at 3900 won Then we went on our way to Seolleung station to change to Samseong station.
