First HOLIDAY of 2018 ~ HONG KONG DAY 3

Having had a long and fulfilling Day 2, we decided to sleep in a little for Day 3!
We caught the 11am shuttle bus from the hotel to Mongkok MTR. And off we trained to Jordan (again!). And this time it was because we wanted to go to 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company for breakfast. Honestly I don't fancy this that much, and the only reason we picked this place for breakfast was because I wanted to let HY try! My friends have been recommending me that Yee Shun Milk Company is much better. Hopefully one day I'll get to try and compare!

This time I didn't order the breakfast set, but the scrambled egg toast instead!

This is the MUST try! Cold Egg White Milk!

Our breakfast

After we filled our tummies, we walked towards Tsim Tsha Tsui!

Jordan is walkable to Tsim Tsha Tsui

And as we were walking, we walked past the supermarket WELLCOME and walked in for a quick shop to look for the instant noodles which my friend was asking for.

They have many diff flavours of 出前一丁
I just checked out the flavours first but not buy it yet in case we don't know where we are heading to.

I actually enjoy walking along Nathan Road, the street is wide and it brings back a lot of memories of my last trip to HK!!! And this was also how we chanced upon the Hong Kong Avenue of Comic Stars at Kowloon Park! And honestly, I appreciated this more than the Avenue of Stars because these Comic Stars are so cute!!!

We had lots of fun taking photos and imitating the comic stars! It made us forget how sunny it actually was!

If you can locate this, then you are at the entrance of the stairs leading to the Avenue of Comic Stars!

You will pass by many interesting shop front such as this.

Following that, we walked towards Mirador Mansion to get Jenny's Bakery!
It brings back memories indeed! I actually AirBnB at this building at my last trip!

Mirador Mansion

Jenny's Bakery have moved up 1 level from the last time I visited.

And the best thing was, there was no queue!!! Looks like weekday afternoon is not a bad time to get Jenny's Bakery! And we bought the cookies thinking we were going to head back to the hotel, but we ended up not heading back to the hotel because everything that followed after was kind of unplanned. Not that many of our itinerary was 'planned'.

Entrance of iSquare

Initially wanted to look for a place for a toilet, but we ended up searching through SASA, Bonjour, Colourmix for my cosmetics and to get a make-up removal for my colleague. And thankfully I was looking for the make-up removal for my colleague, that was how we chanced upon the China Travel Services branch at Tsim Tsha Tsui. We didn't even navigate ourselves there. It just happened to be beside the pharmacy shop that I bought the make-up removal from.

You have to go up the stairs to Level 1 to get to the agency.

Address: 1/F Alpha House, 27-33 Nathan Road, Tsimshatsui, Kowloon

After much discussion, we decided that we will go to 顺德 Shunde on Thursday (earliest ferry out is 8.30am, latest ferry back to HK is 6pm). We also bought day trip tour package to 澳门 Macau on Friday.

And to help you to better locate this China Travel Services, you should see a queue for a bubble tea shop named The Alley 鹿角巷. We didn't want to queue hence we didn't try, maybe we should try it next time!

The Alley 鹿角巷
Address: Shop F, G/F, Alpha House, No. 27-33, Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong
Open: Monday - Sunday 12:00 noon - 10:00pm

So far, this is the 1 out of 2 branches available in Hong Kong. Feel free to comment below if you tried any amazing drink from this store!

Once we were done purchasing our tickets, excited of course, we walked towards Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade. Unfortunately the area is heavily surrounded by renovations, including the Avenue of Stars so we only got to see the Clock Tower and sat by the Victoria Harbour enjoying the breeze (accompanied by the sun).

After we rested at the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade for some time, we boarded the Ferry to head to Wan Chai Ferry Pier! It is probably the cheapest ferry experience u can get too!

And soon after, we arrived at Wan Chai Ferry Pier!

Follow the signage from the Wan Chai Ferry Pier towards the MTR and you should find yourself alighting at Exit A2 of Wan Chai MTR. And our aim was to get dinner at 再興燒臘飯店 Joy Hing Roasted Meat

Address: Block C, G/F, 265-267 Hennessy Road

I don't usually miss a trip to Joy Hing whenever I make a trip to Hong Kong!!! This is one of the more value friendly place for Roasted Goose. I believe on the same street, you can also find the Michelin Kam's Roast Goose but the queue is way too long. But I heard from my friend if you just takeaway then you wouldn't have to queue.

They are closed on Sundays and PH.

I love their 油菜! I went for the 番薯叶!

Our dinner!

And it was there that we chanced upon a couple from Malaysia asking us if Joy Hing is well known for their Roast Goose and also asked us for recommendations of where else to go in HK. The family of 3 behind us overhead my recommendation and lean in to ask questions too! So fulfilling to get to share my favourite spots of HK to people! Hope they managed to find the good gems too!

Then we headed over to the supermarket WELLCOME to get some biscuits for our day trip!

And I found my favourite milk tea!!!

The infamous Ding Ding Tram of HK

Though we saw it, but we didn't actually take it. With that, we walked back to the Wan Chai Ferry Pier to catch the Ferry back to Tsim Sha Tsui. That's so we can see the night view of Victoria Harbour.

When we arrived back at Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier, we initially wanted to find the Star Ferry Pier to catch the hotel shuttle bus but we were just unable to locate it. Needed to use the toilet badly so we dropped by Harbour City and we realised that they have a lot of Sports shop inside. However, we didn't find the price a lot cheaper than SG but of course the designs were different.

Interesting display outside of Harbour City

And we ended up walking to Tsim Sha Tsui station and taking the train back to Mongkok before we cabbed back to the hotel. But it is much harder to cab from Mongkok because the distance was probably too near and many drivers rejected us. And finally (after what seems like an hour), we reached the hotel!
