Dream Come True 2013 - Day 5 in Korea - Seoul (14 Dec 2013, Saturday)

Summarising our day 5, basically it's Shopping > Nanta Show > More Shopping!

Our first stop of day 3 in Seoul was Namdaemun! I preferred it much more than Dongdaemun! Definitely a great place to get especially your souvenirs from Korea!

Found their kids entry at the station rather cute

It was the Christmas season so there were Christmas trees when we exit from the station
Streets of Namdaemun
The shop where we got most of our loots from!
The shop shown above sold ginseng, nice-tasting variety flavours of seaweed and my favourite of all was the honey citron tea! The pouch versions are good for making tea or you can simply apply it as jam on your bread and it would taste just as nice! Because we bought quite a lot from them, they gave us free hand-carry sized bags which was super useful as we had over-purchased and our luggage was running out of space...

This is the honey citron tea which I bought

We only spent less than an hour shopping before we went hunting for food because we didn't want to be late for the Nanta Show. Something which Ms. K really missed from Jeju was the fish dish we had and she researched and found that Namdaemun sold similar versions of the fish dish which she was craving for and that was what we had for lunch!

Braised Hairtail Fish - the fish dish which Ms. K was after
Hotpot was good anytime especially because it was starting to snow outside!
Lunch!
In my short stay in Korea, I have fallen in love with their mixed rice!
I am someone who limits her carbohydrates intake by eating only a few spoons of rice for meals, but when I was in Korea, something which I couldn't control was to finish the rice. It tasted so sticky and nice and I believe I can have it anytime of the day!

After satisfying our stomachs, we proceeded to Myeong Dong to watch the all famous Nanta Show!

Our tickets

We bought our tickets online through the website and they had discounts for Saturday afternoon show so that was how we decided we were going to watch the 2pm show on Saturday. They have more than one Nanta theatre in Seoul so you can choose wherever it is most convenience for you. We didn't get the cheapest tickets, considering we were already in Korea and there was discounts, we bought our tickets for SGD$41 per pax for good seats. The cheapest (second floor) seats cost about 40,000 won per pax without discount. And after watching the show, we definitely do not regret paying the price we did! It was a show, though without any lines (thus no language barrier), but the performers through their talents delivered a great show filled with music, laughter and fun! Do not miss the Nanta show if you are in Korea! Our money and 2 hours was definitely well spent!

And since we were in Myeong Dong, there were no reasons for us not to continue shopping!

We shopped for about an hour before we went home to put everything we had bought before heading out for dinner at a restaurant nearby where we stayed at Itaewon.

Restaurant where we had dinner

Noodle Soup!

Dumplings!
After dinner, we had a quick walk around our area before heading back home.

Famous Banana Milk!
I finally had the chance to try their famous banana milk! Tasted so good! Too bad Ms. K wasn't a milk fan so she didn't really try it...

My loots from the second day of shopping - mainly for giveaways!

We had an early night off (plus packing our luggage partially) because we were anticipating a long day the next day!

More fun and adventure awaits on our last FULL day in Seoul!!!
