Taiwan 2019 Day 8: Kaoshiung 高雄 // 25 Oct 2019 (FINAL DAY)

And so it has come to the final day of our trip - super mixed feelings. On one hand, I think I have fell in love with this city, so used to the friendly culture, the pace of life and great food and all, yet on the other hand, I'm excited to head home to start my new journey (will be starting a new job right after this). First stop: breakfast. This was yummy! ★★★ 興隆居 Address:高雄市前金區六合二路186號 Telephone:07-2616787 Opening Hours:3PM - 11.30AM (next day) - Closed on Monday Then we headed back to the train station to take the train to 西子湾。 And then it was time to get our souvenirs! We headed back to 巨蛋 Kaoshiung Arena.  And went to Basement 1, to my favourite bakery in 高雄 to get our souvenirs. The staff helping us to pack 5 dozens of cookies. Then it was time for lunch! After walking around Hanshin, we settled on having Tim Ho Wan. Besides the 肠粉 (rice flour roll), the rest were nice

If I had knew earlier, I probably would have stayed a night in Tainan. But well since we are back in Kaoshiung, we were on a lookout on what else to do. So we asked Jacky (our driver from the last few days) to recommend a driver for us in Kaoshiung to take us around and somehow we had a free upgrade to 9 seater! Wow, such unmerited favour! The driver came to pick us at 9am (and they always arrive earlier than expected). Our first stop; breakfast!!! They loved the 锅贴 here I love the egg wrap with You Tiao (蛋餅夾油條) The soya bean is pale in comparison to the one we had at 宽来顺 but overall it was not too bad.  ★★★★★ 高記早點 Address | 高雄市鳳山區自由路352-1號 Opening Hours|02:00-10:30(Closed on Monday)  Then we set off to 新威森林公園 (Xinwei Forest Park). It is a pretty nice and quiet area for morning walks (insta worthy photos can be taken here too!) Love this walkway laid down by trees Also grateful for a driver that goes above and beyond and not only
