So Day 2 started with breakfast at 8.30am. The good thing about this accommodation is that you get both bed and breakfast and we also got to play with their baby boy as well. It really felt like home and it definitely warms the heart especially in the midst of our travel in a totally foreign country. If you would like to stay in the same accommodation as we did, feel free to check out the link
here. It costed us about
SGD$33 per person for one night stay.
After saying our goodbyes, off we went for our Day 2 tour. Our first destination was part of one of the Olle trails in Jeju-do, one that was near to their place at Seogwipo.

Beautiful Coast for a Wednesday morning |
|
This time with the sun in sight! |
|
There was a natural swimming pool found in the midst of the walk... |
|
Another angle of the coast |
Then eventually we reached the Oedolgae Rock which San explained to us meant "Lonely Rock" and this was one of the filming sites for the famous drama Jewel in the Palace...

After admiring the beautiful coast for about an hour, we left for our next destination - the Seongeup Folk Village. On our way, San dropped by a nearby store and very kindly blessed us with two warm drinks.

After about an hour drive, we arrived at the Seongeup Folk Village. At the entrance of the Folk Villages were tour guides who were ready to bring you around the villages and they are able to converse in Mandarin. San informed us that though you do not need to pay for these guides, but they would bring you around the stores and encourage to buy things from there. We were thankful that San did a quick introduction for us before we spent some time admiring the structures of the folk village.

People were reading the description of the village on the wall |

I thought I was in an ancient filming site |

The bird's eye view of the village |

San explained to us that there are no thieves, no beggars and no gates in Jeju-do. This is to keep livestock away rather than uninvited guests. |
The next stop was the Ilchul Land, which was one of the places which Running Man filmed at while they were in Jeju-do. Honestly wouldn't recommend this place especially if you are tight on schedule, there was nothing much to see inside.
|
Entrance to the Ilchul Land |
|
There were many of such boards to show you that Running Man members once visited the place |
|
The inside of the Ilchul land |
|
More boards... |
|
We found a board which explained the three poles which served as "gates" to keep away the livestock |

|
There was a Micheon Cave in the Ilchul Land |
|
Nothing much interesting in the cave, it was very dark. But we still managed to spot a Running Man board inside |
|
Waterfall inside |
|
Something that caught our attention was the Love Tree... |
|
And we took a photo of our shadows |
After which we got hungry and we told San that we wanted to try Abalone Porridge... And this is where he brought us to.
|
Side dishes, so generous! |
|
The abalone porridge, the colour didn't look appealing but it tasted good. |

This was where we had lunch - House of Haenyeo (refers to female divers) |
Address: 12-64 Siheung-ri, Seongsan-eup, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do, South Korea
Phone number: +82 64-782-9230

This was a museum right next to the restaurant where we had lunch |
After filling our stomachs, off we went to the famous Sunrise Peak of Jeju-do. It was getting too windy for us and so we didn't attempt to hike up the Peak. We took a few quick pictures and then left...
|
The sunrise peak |
|
Though we didn't get to climb it this time round, I told myself that I'll be back another season to go up this Peak. |
Next stop was the filming site of the All In drama, which we both didn't watch - Seopjikoji...

The church from a distance |
We didn't go all the way up there as the strong winds were blowing in our faces and we didn't really feel good to hike up there. So off we went for an indoor itinerary - the Trick Art Museum. We spent about a good one hour inside taking photos and it was a relief to be away from the strong winds of Jeju-do for a while.

Then we proceeded to the Mysterious Road... so what is so mysterious about this road? When San was driving on this road, he turned off his engine but the car could STILL move... There were also tourists on the road trying to row their bottles, and that did not take any effort at all. The Mysterious Road was a short stretch and we went back and forth about 3 times.
|
This is the Last Stop of the Mysterious Road and it was also the last touristy spot for us in Jeju-do. |
The sky was getting dark and we were ready for dinner.
|
The restaurant where we had our last dinner in Jeju-do... |
|
Our dinner! Traditional Jeju meal |
If you would like a reliable tour guide in Jeju, I highly recommend San. And you can contact San by emailing his wife Eugene at this
email.
After the meal, we took a cab ride to the airport and boarded
Air Busan which costed us about
SGD$44 each. And within an hour, we were back to Seoul. That concluded our 2D1N stay in the beautiful yet windy Jeju-do!
