Post Circuit Breaker with Rainbow!

Today I tried a "new dish" and it was well liked by the family so jotting down the recipe before I forgot. I got half the recipe from online and the other half was self-improvised.  Ingredients Minced garlic Scallion  Ginger Onion Tofu Chicken - marinate with 2 tbsp oyster sauce, 1/2 tsp sugar and dash of pepper for about 20-30mins Sauce Water 1/2 cup salt 1/4 tsp sugar 1/2 tsp potato starch 1/2 tsp light soy sauce 2 tbsp oyster sauce 1tbsp dark soy sauce 1tsp  Steps  1. Fry the tofu to golden on both sides. Set aside.  2.  Fry the ginger first. Then add onions. 3. Add minced garlic and white part of scallion. 4. Add in chicken and stir fry until the chicken looks mostly cooked 5. Then add in the tofu. Stir fry for a bit. 6. Add in the green part of scallion. Followed by the sauce. 7. Simmer and cook for a while 8. Turn off the heat and stir well with sesame oil

Circuit Breaker w Rainbow // #2 // Muah Chee (Rice Cooker)

Came across this recipe and thought it was pretty straightforward so decided to give it a try! Ingredients 2 cups               glutinuous rice flour 2 cups               water 1 teaspoon        sesame oil 1 packet            grinded peanut 3 tablespoons   fine sugar Steps 1. Mix the glutinous rice flour with water. 2. Oil the rice cooker before adding the mixture in.  3. Cook in rice cooker for 3 mins. 4. Stir after 3 mins and leave it for another 3 mins. 5. Stir again after 3 mins and leave it for another 3 mins. 6. Once it is cook, add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil and mix. 7. Remove from the rice cooker and cut into small pieces. 8. Mix the grinded peanut with fine sugar. 9. Add the small pieces of MUAH CHEE into the peanut mix. 10. Enjoy your muah chee!

Not sure why I started to want to make Tao Suan and here's the recipe after multiple attempts to get the taste, texture and even the colour right. Ingredients (adapted from a friend's recipe and tweaked accordingly) 200g mung beans 3 tablespoon   Sweet Potato Flour 1 teaspoon      Corn Flour 5 - 6 leaves     Pandan (tie into bundle) 1 litre              Water 3/4 cup            Fine Sugar (more/less to preference)  1 tablespoon    Red Sugar Steps 1. Wash and rinse the mung beans. 2. Soak the mung beans for 2 hours. 3. Get ready the steamer. Preferably lay the mung beans on breathable base. 4. Surround the base with slices of pandan leaves. 5. Spread the mung beans around the base (make sure they are not pressing on each other) and steam for 45mins. Chanced upon this recipe on youtube and decided to give it a try! Ingredients 100g red bean Mixture 1 400g coconut milk 100ml fresh milk 140g sugar 1 pinch of salt Mixture 2 120g corn flour 400ml water (or the red bean water) Steps 1. Soak the red beans with water overnight, based on the video recommendation is to leave it in the fridge.                                            2. The next day, drain out the water place the red beans in a pot. Fill the pot with water (the more the merrier so that it doesn't dry up as we will be cooking the red beans for quite some time). 3. Boil for 10mins, off fire and stew for 10mins. Repeat this for about 4 times or until your preferred softness of the red beans. 4. When the red beans are ready, leave it aside and prepare the mixtures. 5. Prepare Mixture 1 with coconut milk, fresh milk, sugar and salt. 6. Prepare Mixture 2 with corn flour and water. Singapore has begun Circuit Breaker from 7 Apr and I think I have finally decided to see what I can get out of my hands in this period. #1 Waffles I started to want different menus for breakfast and so I started exploring the possibility of having waffles. First off, I'll need a waffle maker. So where best to get yourself a waffle maker but... ONLINE! I went on Shopee and searched for waffle maker and got myself one delivered to my place! Winter in Korea 2019: Day 7: Seoul (Last Day of 2019)

We were thankful that we could get an extension to check out at 3pm so we headed out to a few spots before we leave Seoul today. Since Sinseol-dong is part of the Line 2, we were aiming to take direct line to Samseong. The line stopped at Seongsu and we didn't know we were supposed to transfer to another platform to be on the same line. We ended up on the line towards City Hall, and we alighted at Wangsimni station. When we were transiting, we noticed this bakery (and considering that we were hungry), we bought this yummy garlic bread! Such a good Garlic Bread (with cheese and egg) - at 3900 won Then we went on our way to Seolleung station to change to Samseong station. Follow the signage to lead you to COEX mall COEX Mall COEX Library Then we took the train to Passing by Han River Commonground Pretty Rainbow Cakes   Once we were done exploring Common Ground, we headed to a cafe (Daelim Changgo)
